Preface and blessings by His Holiness Bhakti Vikasa Svami

Our most revered preceptor Çréla Madhvächärya performed superhuman service by establishing and propagating the actual Vedic message, and by his writings he continues to bestow this topmost knowledge upon mankind. Now that, by Çréla Madhvächärya’s blessings, his discipular descendant Çréla A.C. Bhaktivedänta Swämé Prabhupäda (Founder-äcärya of ISKCON, the International Society for Krishna Consciousness) has made devotional service to Çré Kåñëa available to persons throughout the world, there is a need to render the çästras and teachings of the bona fide ächäryas in many languages, for the benefit of persons not literate in Sanskrit yet eager to learn more about Kåñëa-bhakti.

This translation of Çré-Dvädaça-stotra will contribute toward the fulfillment of this need. It has been done by my worthy disciple Çré Gadädhara Paëòita däsa, who came India from his native Russia at age twenty-four in 1995. He subsequently spent eight years in Çréla Madhväcärya’s beloved Udupi area, serving the mission of ISKCON and becoming acquainted with Sanskrit and English. His achievement in rendering this translation is all the more remarkable considering that only recently he became familiar with both these languages.

I pray that Lord Çré Kåñëa, Çréla Madhväcärya, Çréla Prabhupäda, and all the Vaiñëava ächäryas be pleased with this offering, and request Çré Gadädhara Paëòita däsa that he continue producing such valuable literature, and thus satisfy the äcäryas, benefit human society, and make his own life successful.

Om tat sat.
